Community
Development
As part of the baking industry in Kenya, we pursue a triple bottom line in our activities to benefit the people, the planet and to make a profit. We have a very strong relationship with the Kiandutu Community in Thika where we have a long-term commitment to community development by supporting the Broadway High School.
We also make direct bread donations during important occasions within the Thika community and other areas around the country.
Broadway High School
As part of the Group, we have participated in the construction of nine classrooms, a school library and, more recently in 2019, we commissioned a new state of the art class room block to cater for students.
Broadway High School benefits from the CSR efforts of the Broadway Group of Companies, which is its main development partner.
Community
Development
We are committed to the local community by supporting the school, which gives an opportunity for education to the children of the Kiandutu area.
We believe that education is one of the best slum upgrading projects because it empowers the locals to transform their own community.

Quality
Education
Our intervention in Broadway High School aims at enhancing teaching standards in the school, by providing the teaching facilities needed to offer high quality education.
While the Broadway Group of Companies remains one of the main partners in the development of the school, more development partners are needed to support its efforts.
